I have been working in the capacity of Finance and Operations expert for several wine importers and sales and marketing firms over the past 10 years. Scott Street Portfolio focused on the best offerings from each region in Australia. Avanti Fine Wines expanded to include European gems from Italy and Spain. Vinum Global built an impressive book of wines from Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, South America, as well as some stellar domestic brands. Yabby Lake Vineyard, US was wholly owned to market the Australian brands of Yabby Lake Int'l in the US. In every case the producers had amazing stories of the land and the wines they produced.
After studying Viticulture and Enology at U.C. Davis, my career took me along many paths in many types of businesses, including production, import/export and service industries. My business strengths and passion for wine have meshed into Wine Business Solutions.

My experiences have made me adept at managing the ins and outs of wine import, finance and operations, particularly at the stage of taking a small or unknown brand into the national arena. My niche is in working with wineries or importers who are ready to take their distribution to the next level, if that next level is national distribution, or just expanding beyond the cellar door. I understand the costs and complexities of state compliance and reporting, and the workings of large multi-state distributors, niche distributors, independent brokers and direct-to-consumer options. I help export managers analyze and choose the best formula to guide their transition for their next market leap.
My role is to prepare the producer for the realities of growing their brand and to guide their expectations before they recruit a sales and marketing firm or build an in-house sales force to enter the US market, so they can make their decisions and expenditures with Eyes Wide Open.
